HOW TO DETERMINE IF A PROPERTY IS LOCATED IN CANTON CITY LIMITS

1. Go to the City of Canton home page (www.cantonohio.gov)
- On the EZ Search, choose "Council Ward Locator"
- Click on the even house number or odd house number page
- Type in the Street Name only. Click on find.
- The street name will be highlighted. Scroll to the range in which the house number fits. If the house number in not in a range on that list, it is not in the City Limits. If the house number is in a range on the list, the house is in the City Limits. If the street is not in the City, a message will pop up “Not found”.
2. Go to the Stark County Auditor’s website (www.auditor.co.stark.oh.us) under Real Estate Property Search, enter in the address and look at the parcel number for the address. If the parcel starts with prefix:
- 02-- the address is in the Canton City Limits and the children go to McKinley Twp. (Canton City) schools.
- 03-- the address is in the Canton City Limits and the children go to Plain Local Schools.
- 04-- the address is in the Canton City Limits and the children go to Canton Twp (Local). Schools.
- 82-- the address is in the Canton City Limits and the children go to Louisville schools.
- 83-- the address is in the Canton City Limits and the children go to Canton Local schools.
- 84-- the address is in the Canton City Limits and the children go to Plain Local schools.

- The most up-to-date information with the most recently named streets to check if the address is in the Canton City Limits is to call Canton Civil Engineering at 330-489-3381 and ask if the address is in the City Limits of Canton.
