For test dates, application deadlines and other information, please contact the City of Canton Civil Service office at BENEFITS: The City of Canton offers excellent benefits including hospitalization, eye, dental and life insurance; paid vacation, 12 paid holidays per year. PERS retirement contribution is paid by the City. Applicants interested in Police Officer or should submit name and address to Civil Service Commission (330-489-3360), to be notified when testing is scheduled. Examinations are given every two (2) years. The next testing date has not yet been determined.
