Street Paving |
A great deal of effort goes into determining which streets in Canton are going to be paved each year.
Annually, each city street is reviewed, and those needing re-paved are rated on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being the most in need. Between the rating of the condition of the pavement and the allotted paving budget, an arbitrary decision is made relative to which streets will be paved. Paving is done in all nine wards of the city each year.
While your street may not qualify for re-paving, the Street Department will respond to potholes and other surface problems.
Requests made by constituents and City Council Representatives are reviewed in accordance with the process stated above.
